2015 | HAPPY NEW YEAR.

2015, hasn't been the best year for me at all and I'm not writing this for sympathy. If anything, I'm writing this because although I lost some great people forever, I lost 'friends' & got used, manipulated and broken down by people I was once close with. Big shout out to those people, because I'm stronger than ever :)
This year has been nothing but drama, stress, anger from beginning to finish and there's so many things and people that are being locked within this year and it's for the best. I'm not interested in what people say behind my back, you have fun staying behind me, I'm cool with that. I'm no longer associating with people who cause uncomfortable situations for myself and those around me, who act like they're not the problem etc. I don't want to continue living my life in that vicious circle. Have fun staying in this repetitive cycle but count me out. It's being locked in 2015 because I'm done with the people who do nothing but cause hurt, sadness and drama. It's not how I want to live within 2016. It's all thats happened this year and I can't wait to see the back of it.
My point of this post is, I'm moving forward with my life and I no longer have the time of day for those who drag me down, who hurt me maliciously and who hold my 'past' mistakes against me. I have a great circle of family and friends, I'm finally back on track with my studies and also have a positive outlook on life for the first time in years. I don't want anyone in my life who tries to stop me living peacefully. Unfortunately some things / people will NEVER change, it's not surprising at all but some of us actually want peace and happiness without others ruining that for their own satisfaction. I'm most definitely not saying 2016 will be a "New me" because it won't. If anything, I'm going to learn from this mess of a year and cut out all the bullsh*t people and things that don't / haven't made me happy. I've finally found the courage to close the door on so much, because there's no point in being angry anymore and some situations aren't worth dwelling over ever again.

2016 starts now, more adventurous, ambitious, PEACEFUL and happy than the past two years. I'm glad this year didn't go the way I wanted it to, because I've learnt so much about those around me, about myself and about life in general. Got to say, it's not been an easy year, but it's finally over and I've never felt so happy to go into a New Year. Here's to those who stuck by me this year, thank you so much. Regardless of all the negativity, I've had some upbeat amazing moments in-between it all :)

I have so many goals in 2016 that I want to achieve, my blog being once of them. Hopefully in a years time, I'm writing so many positive things, not bashing on the year ;) lol. Have a great start to the New Year everyone, I hope you all find happiness throughout 2016 :)

Thanks for reading, if you did :)
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! <3

The Fine Cotton company | Wishlist

The Fine Cotton Company | Wishlist

So recently I have strolled upon a lovely website called 'The Fine Cotton Company' & thought I'd share what I love from the website. As I'm a third year University student, I'm already looking to move away from home and start my life in Brighton. I thought I'd share a few things that I'd more than likely like to include in my new apartment.
(All opinions are my own, this is NOT a sponsored post)

Cashmere Throws/Blanket
I have came across this amazing website The Fine Cotton Company & instantly fell in-love with their cashmere blankets! I'm going for a more 'warm' theme for when I move down south. Something more elegant and chic, I feel these blankets would look great in my new bedroom or a guest bedroom! Also, they'd be a great present for someone who LOVES blankets, they're perfect for picnic outings in the Summer!

Venice Towels
Lugano Cotton Towels
Como Organic Cotton Towels
Moving onto bathroom essentials, you have got to have super soft towels! I'm a sucker for them & because of my skin type, I have to have something soft cradling my skin after a bath/shower. These towels are my favourites within the website & what catches my eye is the fluffy-ness!!

Monogrammed Slippers
Remaining in the bathroom category, I came across these slippers. I personally think these should be worn at home and not just in hotels/spa's!! Why not pamper yourself at home?! :) They look and no doubt feel, incredibly soft and comfortable.

Luxury Cotton Mattress & Pillow Protectors
Last but not least, for a new bed in a new home, whether your new place is furnished or you buy everything you need.. comfort of where you sleep is very important. I have a back problem, so I have to be very comfortable while I sleep otherwise I'll be all achy the next day. Mattress protectors are designed to keep your mattress from wasting away and supply extra comfort.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, if you're looking for new items for your home, do give The Fine Cotton Company a browse as you'll find some amazing stuff and bargains! :) What are your favourites? I'd love to hear.

November Favourites | 2015

It's that time of month again, where sharing my favourites things rises to the surface. Compared to last month, I have had my eye on music as November for me, was a good time for everyone to release some incredible tunes!

When it comes to moisturisers I am very picky with what goes near my skin on a daily basis. Introducing this Soap and Glory product to my skin a few months ago, was really amazing for my skin. Back in Summer, when we did get sunshine, I had to put a fair amount on due to my skin reacting to the sun (getting sunburn/tan) and it just made my skin so much more softer, smelt amazing & kept my skin healthy. As we are now in Winter, I started using it again recently as in colder months, my skin tends to get SO dry, but applying this body butter-cream has made stopped my skin getting dry and all sand-papery.

I have also got back into using this delightful body wash. It's the same scent as my moisturiser as I just can't get enough of it, apparently. Whilst in the bath or shower, I use this because sometimes the water sends my skin all dry and gross, however, the body wash has also stopped my skin being so dry & after use, my skin feels incredibly soft, as it also moisturises the skin, leaving it sooooooo soft!

During the Winter months, it's hard to keep my lips from cracking and being chapped. A few months ago, when I had the flu, I came across the Nivea Fruity Lip Shine (Watermelon) and it comforts my lips and keeps them smooth, crack-free and smells A-M-A-Z-I-N-G :) Out of the majority of lip products I have used in the past, I believe that this one is definitely my favourite, especially in Winter. I couldn't find the watermelon one on the Boots website, so I've linked a similar one above.

I've had this small moisturiser given to me as something to take to University in my First year, however, I just thought it was a tester of some kind and didn't think to look more into it. Sea kelp moisturiser is one of my all time favourite body creams, due to how soft it keeps my hands, my face etc. I don't use it all the time, but now I've found their website, I shall be purchasing the Sea Kelp 300ml bottle (linked above) to last me through the winter months. It practically eats up dry skin, which for me, is amazing!!

My lush facemask has undoubtedly made it to my favourites again, as I just can't get enough of it. It has appeared a lot on my blog recently, so I'll keep this to a minimum, BUY SOME OF IT, and just watch your skin improve after the first few times of wearing it. My skin is a lot more glowing and soft because of it. One of my all time favourites from Lush, did I mention.. it smells INCREDIBLE?!

Moving on to some random favourites, I have been loving SO MUCH music this month! Like, the charts have been full with great songs and albums on spotify.. I'm just IN LOVE for sure.

Can we all just take a moment and appreciate the outstanding comeback of Justin Bieber... I have ALWAYS loved his music, like since he first appeared with his first album. This album is one of my all time favourites as every song, is just, flawless and relatable. I love songs I can relate to, like, Justin has nailed the bud if you ask me. My favourite song(s) off his new album are 'Love yourself' & 'I'll show you', these songs just speak a thousand words and just put into lyrical form, everything I want to tell people. It's amazing & I couldn't be happier for his success. You can find his new Album here: Justin Bieber | Purpose

Hello... it's me..
Now if you haven't heard this AMAZING song by Adele, you really are missing out. The first day it was released me and my housemate were instantly hooked. I'm glad she's back with new music, it's been way too long!! Her song, 'Hello' for me, is something I can relate to with my past of having a hard time. If anything it helps me look back on this year as a whole and remain thankful for the journey I've taken. So a BIG thank you to this lovely lady for making an amazing appearance with her music :P You can find her album here: Adele | 25

Another album I have had on repeat throughout the month is Selena Gomez - Revival. I'm not really a big fan for her music, but her new album gives the title justice. I am IN LOVE with her voice throughout the album, especially in her two songs 'Same Old Love' & 'Sober'. You can find her new album here: Selena Gomez | Revival

That's all I have been loving throughout November, what have you been loving? I'd love to check out some recommendations :)

Outfit and Accessory Inspiration #1 | ASOS

#1 - Whilst browsing the ASOS website, I came across this Sweatshirt Dress , I love wearing dresses at home & whilst at University, meeting friends etc. but normally I don't have the confidence to rock one other than inside my house. This dress will be making an appearance on my wish list within the next couple of weeks, as I think it'll be PERFECT to wear whilst christmas shopping. It also looks very comforting to be in and I find it extremely important to feel comfortable in anything you wear.

#2 - The next outfit I was drawn to is this Reindeer Christmas Jumper as now it's the month to be Christmassy!!! woo :) It looks very cosy and snuggly too, and I like a good jumper especially in the Winter season! I then came across these Glamorous Jeans with Bleach Star Details and Rips .. First of all if you're a ripped jean fanatic then you will FALL INLOVE with these, like I did. They're definitely a good match for the Jumper or just a casual t-shirt. The shoes within this photo, caught my eye too as they just complete the outfit, but can't seem to find them on the website :(

#3 - Moving on to Accessories and Jewellery, I came across this Double Flower Girlhood Back Hair Chain , I don't normally wear hair chains as such or accessories other than bandana's / hair ties etc. due to not really being interested. But this hair chain has made it into my list to buy as I think it would look nice in curly/straight hairstyles for nice nights out in a restaurant with family. I then found a Open Circle Long Pendant Necklace , which stood out compared to anything else on the website.. it's definitely because it's bold, silver and reminds me of a commitment ring on a necklace. I definitely fell in love & it would look so good with a day dress or a smart outfit.

What are your favourites from ASOS?

Lush Review & Cosy nights in!

I've wanted to do a Lush review for quite some time now, but never really had the chance until now. I've started to use my face-mask a lot more recently, seeing a difference in my skin. As we're now into colder months and the seasons are changing, my skin tends to get dry so so quickly. That means I have to moisturise a lot more than I normally do after every shower, and keep my face from going dry. Lush has kept my skin glowing, whether it's after a shower I put it on, or just for a morning cleanse, it's amazing on my skin. Cupcake, is on of my all time FAVOURITE Lush products, it smells so incredible and just leaves the skin looking fresh and gives that instant glow. It also unclogs pores and helps breakouts decrease. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who has dry skin, or who just wants to check it out.

Believe it or not, I'm a HUGE sucker for cosy nights in. My ideal night in is a few DVD's, cheeky hot chocolate, face mask and a good old snuggly read in bed. My favourite books to read are by an author "Nicholas Sparks", I've enjoyed all his books and currently onto reading 'The longest Ride', and it's amazing! (I've also seen the film, so good!) His books give me so much emotion when I read them and I don't think many authors have done that for me in the past. Whilst reading I'd put 'You me at six' on in the background just to make the atmosphere more relaxing, I find their music something to unwind too after a hard day at uni/work. Further through the night I'd stick a DVD on, either my crush.. Russell Howard or a chick flick, because well, who doesn't like a chick flick? they're so funny.

October favourites | 2015

I've never done a favourites before, so I thought why not as I've been enjoying a range of things throughout October. From nights out to candles, workout gear etc. **Most of my photos will be recognisable from my previous posts**

Primark candles are pretty amazing, this one happens to be one of my favourite christmas scents. It's a warm winter scent and it just makes your room area all cosy, if anything it helped me settle and complete some uni work. I got this in September but started burning it in beginning of October, I think, can't really remember but it was in my haul post. I would definitely recommend it, if anyone is wanting a new candle for winter! :)

Lush is such a good store to get bath bombs, shower gels etc. BUT as I don't have a bath at University, I only have a shower, I decided to get a cleanser and toner. Now, I'm very picky with what I put on my skin, like.. Really fussy! The cleanser is amazing on my skin, it gives it the refreshed look it needs after a restless nights sleep, or to make my face look more cleansed after taking off my makeup. The toner, finishes off the routine with taking away unwanted make-up, clogged pores etc. I can't wait until payday, I will definitely be getting some more! I'm also OBSESSED with the face mask, Cupcake, but I shall do a separate post on that!!

No doubt some of you will recognise this photo, or this beautiful girl from a previous post of mine. Recently I brought my cat to university and it was the best time ever. She settled down really well and having cuddles every night was the best thing ever. I had to take her back home due to some unsettling circumstances within my university house, but I shall be bringing her back after the Christmas Break, once i have enough money for her too. Being a student sucks sometimes, not having enough money and all that, ha. But I get to see her again soon and I really can't wait!! She's in my favourites because all of October she lifted me when I felt stressed, upset etc. and well, she is the reason for my smile :)

These candles are also from Primark, no more than £5 each. The pink cased candle, well... It smells like sweets, a very sweet smell but I LOVE it, it's amazing. It's called "Red berry & Jasmine" and it's one of the best candles ever made. If you want more of a day candle, then I'd highly suggest this. As for the purple ones, After burning the little ones I got a HUGE one, like the pink cased. In fact, I got like... 3 more! (oops) It just smells so Wintery and Autumnal and it helps me relax at night when I just want to unwind :)) It's called "Blackcurrant and Forest Plum" (see below for more pictures)

Okay, I'm not much of a sport fanatic but I do follow Ice-hockey, it's my favourite sport EVER. My team, Sheffield Steelers are such a great team to support. They normally win every game they have, some they don't and thats fine!! They have such incredible energy. I did manage to capture this proud moment as a fan, they won 5-4 ! I think they played against Nottingham, can't really remember ha! Do add them on snapchat if you're interested: @steelershockey

So throughout October, I got really back into my training. I joined the Athletics team at University and carried on with my personal training sessions. (Can I just point out, I'm the most unfit person ever!!) I decided one day I was going to spend all my money on work out gear, so I went to H&M and got this work-out top. Now when I go shopping I always get bigger sizes to what I am, but this top is a small and it's super big on me. It made me feel so happy to know all the training and eating clean I had been doing was doing me good in the long run. I got two sports bra's too and couldn't find my size, so i got the next number down and even that was too big!! Very comfortable and it just makes me feel so good knowing they aren't tight on me, they fit comfortably and even now, they're becoming too big, but thats a very good thing! Couldn't be more happier tbh! :))

I don't talk about this much on my blog but I am OBSESSED with Paris, never been but a girl can dream. I was browsing on amazon, as I had too much free time and came across this phone case. In October I also drank too much on a night out (oops ha) and smashed my phone into the ground, screen stopped working and I had to get a replacement and thought why not start fresh with a new case?! Thank you so much to a fab company "Headcase" for creating this phone case (not sponsored), it's my all time favourite thing. Ever! (I'm also aware of whats happened in Paris recently with the terrorist attacks and it absolutely broke my heart. #PrayForParis)

Hangover food is great, but Nando's... Nando's is life. I always take photo's of my food whenever I go and to be honest, I don't know why as I always get the same thing! But this meal was the best thing ever. It tasted better than usual when I went and stuffed me right up. I guess I'm obsessed with Nando's ha! Especially on hangover days. It's in my favourites because Nando's is one of my favourite restaurants and well, it's great food!!! If you don't know what one is, then check it out!!

While everyone has been obsessing over Christmas throughout the month of October, It was me raving about Halloween and well... This is why (see above) I left my costume to last minute as I wanted to go home due to feeling home sick :( I went as a dead school girl and don't usually make an effort to dress up. But this year, that all changed! All I did for my costume was buy a black skirt from Primark (was about £6) and a baggy shirt (£4) and cut the shirt up, sprayed fake blood on it, cut it up and added a tie. As for my make up, it was latex, fake blood and black crayon (Yes, crayon) It was sooooooo painful getting off!! But the night out was incredible. For the first time ever, I went through a scare maze and left it laughing and crying with fear it was brilliant. Excited for next year already!! :))

Selena Gomez has been one of my idols since I was about, 14 years old. She's incredibly stunning, an amazing actor & her new album "Revival" is pretty decent :) She's made it to my favourites because of her strength. As many people know she's battled an awful time with a break up i presume? well, she's maintained herself so gracefully and I admire her for her strength. Selena is one of the strongest people I look up to, she's been through so much since becoming famous, some of which I've never experienced, but when I do, just looking at how she overcame her worries, pushes me to overcome mine. Selena, I love you. You've got so much going for you and I hope one day I meet you and tell you in person. Thank you, for being you :))

Who doesn't like Swifty?? HER NEW ALBUM IS GREAT. Well, I might have jumped on the bandwagon a year late but who cares ;) The two songs that are now on repeat is "This Love" and "Out of the woods" and I have no idea why. I guess they just chill me out and I admire her passion throughout her whole album. But these songs are the most played, Along with Wildest Dreams :P

So when my little princess was with me at University, the picture above is pretty much how we would spend every night together. All cuddled up watching Alfie Deyes on Youtube (@Pointlessblog) :)) Pepsi loves him as much as I do! It's so interesting in following people's lives. I love watching Youtubers, it chills me out and makes me happy especially when I've had a rubbish day! I'd love to be able to do what they do, but at the moment I'm way too shy!! But yeah, University life is more than stressing out writing essays, going out all the time etc. For me it's just chill nights watching Netflix cuddled up to my teddy or pepsi (when she was here) or catching up on Youtube :)

Being invited along to birthdays makes me happy. I get to celebrate with my friends and catch up with others when I see them out etc. We went to Revolution in Lincoln and their new menu is to die for!! Also, who doesn't like a cheeky cocktail?! This night in general was filled with laughter, good food and drinks & of course, great friends :)) If you're old enough to drink, do check out the "Pornstar Martini" It's well nice!! Hopefully I'll be making these when I attend Bartending school next summer!!

As I mentioned before I've joined the Athletics society for my final year at University and my first session was intense. If anyone follows my instagram (@jaydeekelly) you'll have seen this photo and the caption stating that it took me 4 years to get back onto the track. On my second session, I sprained my ankle... and currently have been out for 3 weeks so far, waiting for it to become strong enough to run on again!! It was a massive achievement to get my fitness back up and hopefully as the year continues I get to go on tour with the society, I get keep my fitness up and hopefully start competing.. I think it'll be quite epic. :))

One of the final things I have been loving in October (and every month of the year) is my all time favourite program, Criminal Minds. If anything it gives me inspiration for my university work and whenever I watch it, it makes me want to be an FBI agent so bad!! So for my final year project I decided to write a television program around the FBI units, not at all like this, very different and so far it's going great and I have this show to thank. I'm just hooked it's actually quite unhealthy ha!!

That's pretty much it for my favourites. The products I have been loving are probably going to be reviewed separately! Hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what you've been loving down below also!

(All photo's in this post apart from the Selena Gomez & Criminal minds photo, are all my own & screen shot by myself. Do not take them without my permission, thanks!)

Uni room | Final year

So it's my final year of University & I just wanted to share a few snaps of my bedroom. Next year, I'm moving to brighton before/after graduation, hopefully before, so this post will be definitely something I'll look back on :) I've just had my cat move in with me at university too, she's literally my everything! So glad we can have pets.

My book/dvd collection is definitely growing!

All photo's are by myself, Jade Kelly. Do not take without permission, thanks :)

The first photo, is basically who i used to work for and now what i volunteer for. Unicef, is a good cause for anyone to be apart of, it's all about raising awareness for children and families in third world countries. I'm currently running a society which revolves around it, which is amazing. If you want to donate, go to unicef.org.uk :)

If it wasn't obvious, I have a mini book collection with all the ones that make me happy. What are your favourite books??

These photo's in general, make me so so happy.
